Alice Buso is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, TU Delft. In her PhD research, she investigates the experiential potential of textile-forms to establish meaningful and long-lasting relationships with our textile artefacts, extending their positive impact over ecological time. In particular, through the lenses of Materials Experience, she investigates how designers can leverage the animated behaviour of (multi)morphic textile-forms to invite people to act, i.e., their performativity.

Alice holds an MSc in Industrial Design Engineering from TU Delft. In her research and design practice, she combines knowledge in making and designing with emerging materials and novel textile production methods, particularly 3D-weaving, to improve the experience of textile products and challenge the textile industry's negative impact on our planet's future.
